Raynham Hall

The private family home of the Marquis and Marchioness, Lord and Lady Townshend, first built in 1619.

With interiors redesigned by William Kent dating from 1725, these were carried out for the second Viscount Townshend, an important political figure at the court of Queen Anne and King George I.

Learn about the history of the house and the Townshend ancestors directly from the Marquis or Marchioness and then enjoy a fine afternoon tea in one of the splendid state rooms.
